WHAT'S INCLUDED

Six things every migration ships with.

Zero data loss, ever.

Products, variants, customers, orders, blog posts, redirects, metafields — every record gets migrated and reconciled. We diff old vs new before flipping DNS.

SEO-preserving 301 redirects.

Old URLs → new URLs mapped 1:1 with permanent redirects. We preserve your search rankings, backlink equity, and indexed pages. Zero traffic drop.

Design parity (or upgrade).

Either rebuild your existing design pixel-perfect on Shopify, or use the migration as a chance to ship a faster, mobile-first redesign. You pick.

App equivalents, sorted out.

We map every plugin/extension on your old platform to the right Shopify app — or build a custom replacement when no equivalent exists.

Checkout & payment continuity.

Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, GoCardless — all major gateways set up. Subscriptions migrated via Recharge / Bold / Shopify Subscriptions. Zero customer disruption.

Analytics + tracking handover.

GA4, Meta Pixel, Google Ads tracking, Klaviyo, Mailchimp — all rewired and re-tested on Shopify. Conversion attribution doesn't break.

THE PROCESS

Six steps. Five weeks. Zero downtime.

We've migrated 30+ stores. Every step has a clear deliverable and a sign-off point so there are no surprises.

  1. 1

    Audit & scope

    Week 1

Walkthrough your existing store. Catalogue products, customers, integrations, custom fields, redirects, automations. Written quote with fixed price + timeline.

  2. 2

    Sandbox build

    Week 2-3

Theme set up on Shopify dev store with full design parity. Test data imported. Apps installed and configured. You preview privately before any go-live.

  3. 3

    Real data migration

    Week 3-4

Products (with all variants, images, metafields), customers, order history (last 12 months by default), blog posts, pages. Verified diff against source.

  4. 4

    Redirects + SEO

    Week 4

Full redirect map (old URL → new URL) loaded into Shopify. Sitemap submitted to GSC + Bing. Robots.txt + meta tags audited. Schema.org markup carried over.

  5. 5

    DNS cutover

    Week 5

Coordinated low-traffic window. DNS flip with 5-min TTL drop. Smoke-test checklist (50+ items) verified within 30 minutes of going live. Old store kept as backup for 30 days.

  6. 6

    Post-migration audit + 30-day support

    Week 5 + 30 days

GSC monitoring for 404s, indexing changes, ranking drops. Daily review for first 7 days, weekly for next 3. Bug fixes free for 30 days.

PLATFORMS WE MIGRATE FROM

Coming from anything.

Six platforms cover ~95% of the migrations we run. If yours isn't listed, we still migrate it — we've done custom PHP/MySQL builds, Drupal Commerce, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

WooCommerce

WP plugin export + custom transformer. Most common path. Typical 4-6 week project.

Magento (Adobe Commerce)

Multi-store architecture mapped to Shopify Markets. ERP/PIM integrations preserved. 6-10 week project.

BigCommerce

Native API export. Well-supported migration. 4-6 weeks for standard catalogues.

Wix

Limited native export — we do hybrid scrape + manual rebuild for non-exportable sections. 4-5 weeks.

Squarespace

Squarespace Commerce → Shopify with redirect mapping. 3-5 weeks.

Custom / headless / legacy

Custom CSV / DB extracts. We've migrated PHP/MySQL builds, Drupal Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Quote individually.

FAQ

Migration questions, answered.

Will my SEO rankings drop after migrating to Shopify?

Not if it's done right. The single biggest cause of post-migration ranking drops is broken or missing 301 redirects. We map every old URL to a new URL 1:1 before DNS cutover, and the redirects load into Shopify the moment the new store goes live. We've migrated 30+ stores without a measurable ranking drop. We also monitor GSC for the first 30 days post-launch and fix any 404s immediately.

How long does Shopify migration take?

Standard projects are 4–6 weeks from kickoff to launch. Larger catalogues (5K+ products), multi-store setups, or stores with complex apps/integrations can run 6–10 weeks. We'll commit to a fixed timeline in the scoping call after auditing your existing store.

How much does Shopify migration cost?

Standard small-to-mid migrations start around $3,000–$6,000 USD. Stores with 1,000–10,000 products and 5+ integrations land in the $6K–$12K range. Enterprise migrations (Magento with multi-store, Salesforce Commerce, custom legacy) start at $15K. Always a fixed quote — no hourly billing.

Will my customers' passwords transfer?

No platform allows this — passwords are one-way hashed, so they can't be exported in plain-text. What we do: migrate customer accounts (email, name, address, order history) and trigger a 'reset your password' email to all customers on launch day. Most stores see 60-80% reset rate within 30 days. We can also enable Shop Pay / passwordless / OTP login to reduce friction.

Will my Google Ads / Meta Ads conversion tracking break?

Only if it's not migrated properly — which is why we do this systematically. Day 1 of migration: full audit of existing pixels, conversion events, and UTM structure. Day 2-3 of cutover: re-implement on Shopify with same event names + parameters. Day 5-15 post-launch: side-by-side validation against historical conversion volume. If something looks off, we flag and fix.

Do you migrate Wix / Squarespace stores even though they have weak APIs?

Yes. Wix and Squarespace have limited native exports — for those we do a hybrid: native CSV export for products + manual / scraped rebuild of pages, blog posts, and custom sections. Adds about 1 week to typical timeline. We've done 12+ Wix migrations and 8+ Squarespace migrations.

Can you migrate without taking the store offline?

Yes — that's the default. The new Shopify store is built and tested in a sandbox (your-store.myshopify.com). Your old store stays live throughout. Cutover is a single DNS flip during a low-traffic window (we usually pick 2-4am in your store's primary timezone) with under 5 minutes of any 'transitional' state. We aim for zero perceived downtime.

What about my custom-built features / integrations?

We map every custom feature to an equivalent: Shopify app, Shopify Functions / Plus scripts, custom embedded app, or theme code. If no equivalent exists, we build it. Common cases: ERP/PIM sync (we use Shopify GraphQL bulk operations), B2B wholesale (Shopify B2B), custom checkout (Shopify Plus + Functions), subscription billing (Recharge or Shopify Subscriptions).

Ready to migrate?

Send us your current store URL, source platform, and a rough product count. We'll come back within 24 hours with a fixed quote and timeline. No commitment.
