As part of our mission to help Shopify merchants manage their international traffic through Geo-Based Redirects, Country Blocking, Geo Banners, and Popup Dialogs, our App collects and processes information to provide its services. Information from Merchants

When you install and use Geo Redirect Xpert, we collect the following information:

• Your email address, store admin URL, and Shopify plan details (for authentication).

We use this information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App.
• Display analytics and reporting within your app dashboard.
• Authenticate your Shopify session securely.
• Ensure compliance with legal and Shopify requirements.

Merchant Responsibility

Merchants using Geo Redirect Xpert must maintain an up-to-date privacy policy on their Shopify store that complies with applicable privacy laws. Merchants must inform their customers about data collection and processing through the use of Geo Redirect Xpert and obtain necessary consents where required.

Information from Merchant Customers

We may collect limited visitor data through Shopify’s native geolocation services, including:

• Visitor country detected via Shopify browsing context. No precise location such as city or GPS coordinates is collected.
• Anonymized, aggregated interaction data such as redirect counts, banner views, popup views, and block counts for analytics.

⚠️ We do not collect or store customer names, emails, payment card details, or sensitive financial information.

Sharing Your Information

We may share your information with:

• Shopify, as required for integration and compliance.
• Third-party service providers for data hosting (DigitalOcean), analytics, and performance monitoring.

We do not sell your information to third parties.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Geo Redirect Xpert does not place cookies on your visitors’ devices. We do not track visitor navigation or browsing patterns beyond the geo-detection event.

• Visitor IP addresses are only processed in real-time for geolocation detection and IP whitelist matching.
• Visitor IP addresses are not stored in our database.

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard measures to secure your data against unauthorized access or breaches. However, no method of digital storage or transmission is 100% secure. In case of a data breach, affected merchants will be notified promptly.

Data Retention

• We retain your store’s data for the duration of your use of Geo Redirect Xpert and as required by law.
• When you uninstall the App, your store’s data is deleted within 24 hours.
• Some anonymized usage data may be retained for analytical purposes.

Your Rights

As a merchant, you have the right to:

• Request access to your data.
• Correct or update your information.
• Request deletion of your store’s data.
For data deletion, you can either uninstall the app or contact us directly.
